            <title>Pennsylvania&apos;s Film Tax Credit Program- UPDATE!</title>
            <description> The Pittsburgh Film Office announced yesterday that due to the persistent support of many in the film-making community the Film Tax Credit Act of 2007 will continue! An excerpt from the message can be seen below:

&gt; The Governor and the Pennsylvania Legislature can see the economic benefits and jobs the film production industry produces for the Commonwealth. That said, in this very difficult budget year, the cap has been set at $42 million. Next year the cap will increase to $60 million, continuing the tremendous expansion of the film industry in Pennsylvania!
&gt;
&gt; All current commitments to film currently in production in the Commonwealth will be honored.
&gt;
&gt; Since the inception of the program in 2007, nearly $85 million has been spent on film production by 16 major film and television productions in southwestern Pennsylvania alone. In addition, three more feature film productions are filming in the region which will result in even more economic impact.

            <title>&apos;Three Rivers&apos; premieres: It may need another operation</title>
            <description>Despite fits and starts and many changes along the way (and then changes to those changes), CBS&apos;s &quot;Three Rivers&quot; is fine.

It&apos;s not great, it&apos;s not awful. It&apos;s an adequate, conventional CBS-y medical drama about transplant surgeons set at Pittsburgh&apos;s fictional Three Rivers Regional Medical Center.

What makes it CBS-y? &quot;Three Rivers&quot; (9 p.m. Sunday, KDKA) is a procedural medical drama, which means character development comes second to plots-of-the-week. It&apos;s also a very safe show that&apos;s generally uplifting with characters that evince a bland camaraderie.

            <title>State budget impasse chases Shyamalan film to Canada</title>
            <description>It wasn&apos;t the Devil that made M. Night Shyamalan do it. It was the Harrisburg budget impasse.

With uncertainty about whether Pennsylvania&apos;s film tax credit will be authorized in the state budget - now in Day 56 of limbo - the supernatural thriller (which Shyamalan wrote and is producing) has relocated production to Toronto.
