Pittsburgh could host 'Haunting Hour' series
Margaret Loesch, the executive producer on “R.L. Stine Presents: The Haunting Hour - Don’t Think About It,” is now developing “The Haunting Hour” as a possible television series. Loesch says there are many shows in development so it could be a long shot but should it go to series, Pittsburgh would be considered as a possible filming location.
The film, which was produced by Steeltown Entertainment Project, aired on the Cartoon Network in 2006 and was released on DVD. The ratings and DVD sales were high but Cartoon Network wasn’t interested in additional films in the series. This can most likely be attributed to a change in executives at the Network.
Loesch is currently in charge of The Hub, the new Discovery-Hasbro collaboration channel that targets kids ages 3-12 with an emphasis on kids 6-12. They are interested in developing the movie into a TV series. She says the project is still a long way from forming into anything but it is possible that it could eventually turn into something and that Pittsburgh could play a big role.
