'St. Elmo's Fire' reboot

By Kris on August 24, 2009 8:06 PM | Permalink

ABC is developing a TV series based on the 1985 movie “St. Elmo’s Fire,” written by Pittsburgher Carl Kurlander, who said he won’t be involved in the reboot.

“To quote Dale Biberman from ‘St. Elmo’s Fire,’ I am ‘flattered’ that almost a quarter of a century later people could still find the movie relevant,” Kurlander wrote in an e-mail. He said he has not yet dug out his contract from the film to see if he’ll get any residual payments should the movie actually spawn a TV series.
