Save the Arts in PA Rally!
As the state budget is being reviewed, it looks as if arts funding might see enormous cuts this year, and may be completely eliminated in the 2010 fiscal year.
On Tuesday July 14 there is going to be a rally in Harrisburg to save state funding for arts and culture. Four representatives from Steeltown Entertainment Project will be at the rally to voice their concerns about discontinuing funding for the arts.
See the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council website: http://www.pittsburghartscouncil.org/cpr_saveartsinpa.htm, to learn more about this issue and different ways to get involved.
If you’re interested in attending the rally, there will be a chartered bus leaving on the morning of the 14th. Cost is $30. RSVP ASAP- http://www.proartstickets.org/events/view/369.
