On Thursday, supporters of the movie studio being built on the Tri State Sports property testified before the House Tourism and Recreational Development Committee amidst lawmakers considering the future of the Pennsylvania state film tax incentive; there are currently three bills in the House and Senate focusing on altering or eliminating the current state film tax credit.
While Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have hosted frequent big-budget film productions within the last few years, Harrisburg is starting to get similar opportunities.

Strip District-based Mogul Mind Studios has struck a deal with Fox Entertainment to host what is expected to be the Pittsburgh region’s biggest film production yet, a runaway train drama called “Unstoppable” that is slated to star Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington and “Star Trek” star Chris Pine.
