'Script to Screen' on TV
A new TV show called “Script to Screen,” available on the city’s PCTV-21 and eventually to Web users everywhere, will debut at 8 p.m. next Monday.
Bob Scott will host and co-produce, along with the Carnegie Screenwriters. The first episode will feature writer Robert Skwaryk and independent producer Bud Adams.
Skwaryk’s script, “Last Call,” won a fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and he used the money to have Adams produce a trailer from the screenplay.
The second episode, July 21, will feature Faith Dickinson from Women in Film and Media of Pittsburgh with independent producer-director Anita Harnish. who documents local physicians performing life-changing surgeries in Third World countries.
Jeff Monahan, writer, actor, filmmaker and head of 72nd St. Films who is working on “George A. Romero Presents … Deadtime Stories,” will be the Aug. 3 guest. Other episodes will spotlight other filmmakers, actors and key figures, such as Dawn Keezer, director of the Pittsburgh Film Office, and Jodi Klebick and Stephanie Dangel from the Steeltown Entertainment Project.
