Greetings From Pittsburgh Neighborhoods: Local Narratives to Screen This Fall
This fall as part of Pittsburgh 250, a 90 minute film titled, "Greetings From Pittsburgh: Neighborhood Narratives" will showcase some of Pittsburgh's most recognizable neighborhoods such as Bloomfield, the Strip District, Oakland, Regent Square, and Homestead.
The film will also deals with many typical Pittsburgh related movie themes, including leaving. One film even puts a comedic twist on an old Pittsburgh staple, the zombie movie.
The stories that will comprise the finished film, will be woven together to create a concise whole, not an anthology. The hope of filmmakers Kristen Lauth Shaeffer and Andrew Halasz, who came up with the concept for "Greetings From Pittsburgh" is to create a film similar to "New York, I Love You," or "Paris Je T'Aime,"
