Actress Kate Hudson to Join Cast of 'Nine'
Director, and Pittsburgh native Rob Marshall added another Hollywood star to the cast for his upcoming film, the musical ‘Nine.’
Actress Kate Hudson has signed on to the project which already boasts a cast of Oscar Award winners and nominees such as Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench and http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000047/, and Penelope Cruz.
“Nine” was adapted from the original 1982 Broadway production that won the Tony Award for Best Musical. Marshall, a Squirrel Hill native, and partner John DeLuca (“Memoirs of a Geisha,” “Chicago”) will choreograph and also are part of the producing team.
The film is scheduled to begin shooting in the UK on Oct. 10.
