Casting Call for Short Film 'Tommy and Me'

The film is Tommy and Me. And Ray needs some EXTRAS.

My story, short film, takes place in the Strip and is one of ten neighborhood stories that will be released as a feature film in the fall.

The story shows the compassion of the people, merchants in the Strip for an elderly homeless guy named Tommy, who is befriended by a young guy who works at Mike's Stuff (Mike Feinberg's). In the story, Tommy, who has a great white beard, is nicknamed Steelers Santa and becomes an icon of the Steelers Nation. The story unfolds from there...

o you remember reading Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid? You know, the ones where you turn to page 48 if you want to jump out of the plane or turn to page 35 if you want to rush the cockpit? Well, Erik Luchauer and Kevin Antoine, creators of Rootclip.com, do. They drew upon their love of the popular user-guided storylines to come up with a new concept in film making and online media called Rootclip.

First Regional Artist Exhibition at 15 Minutes Gallery

The Pittsburgh Technology Council is proud to announce THE 15 MINUTES GALLERY - a new exhibition space that will showcase the works of regional artists and innovators.

Through this progressive initiative, it is the Council’s intent to recognize the synergy that exists between the technological and the artistic communities in Pittsburgh and the impact each component will have on the region’s future. To strengthen the link between these dynamic and innovative communities, the Council has partnered with Pittsburgh’s Sirani Gallery.

DESCRIPTION: The 15 Minutes Gallery will launch an exhibition beginning this June. All artwork will be displayed for a minimum of 3 months (required consignment).

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: A Call for Entries is currently underway. Artwork submitted on or before April 30, 2008 will be eligible for inclusion in the Gallery’s inaugural exhibition. All works of art in the 15 Minutes Gallery will be for sale to the general public, with 75% of the proceeds returning to the artist.
