Steeltown's Cait Murray Brings Pittsburgh to Cannes Film Festival
Steeltown Entertainment Project’s own Associate Producer, Cait Murray brings Pittsburgh pride to the 63rd Cannes Film Festival.
Proving that Pittsburgh has resident ties all over the world, Cait, in her adventures as an intern with the American Pavilion Cannes Film Program, has spotted fellow Pittsburgh patriots wearing their beloved Penguin t-shirts and toting their terrible towels. During her short time among the glamorous celebrities and artists on the red carpet, she has met prestigious Pittsburgher Carla Rosen-Vacher, a member of the Board of Trustees at the Pittsburgh Film Office and current Commercial and Economic Specialist for the U.S. Embassy.
With an all-access pass to some of the most coveted film premiers, traces of what Russell Crowe called, “one of the friendliest cities” could be found in films like “Juan of the Dead,” Cuba’s contribution to the cult zombie film genre made famous by Pittsburgh’s George Romero - “Grandfather of the Zombie.”
You can follow her adventures as an intern complete with pictures and French phrases of the day on her personal blog Cait at Cannes
