Carnegie Screenwriters hold a seated reading of "The Great One"
Join the Carnegie Screenwriters for a seated reading on Wednesday, May 26th at 7:00 PM at Franco’s Trattoria on West Liberty Ave. in Dormont.
They will be reading the semi-finalist script of Russ Babines, entitled “The Great One.” Currently under consideration by a number of production companies, the script has reached the semi-final round of prestigious screenwriting competitions such as Fade In, Scriptapalooza, and Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope.
So, come listen to a touching, funny coming-of-age story about a group of kids in the early 1970’s who share a passion for baseball and a love of their favorite Pittsburgh Pirate, Roberto Clemente, “The Great One.”
The event is free and open to the public. There will be a discussion after the reading with the writer and the actors.
Cash bar, appetizer menu & dinner menu available.
