A Chance to Win $1000 in a Short Film Competition Hosted by Carnegie Mellon University
Faces of Globalization International Students Short Film Competition is being held by the Carnegie Mellon Filmmaking Club and Jolanta Lion, Fesitval Director and a FILM FACTORY judge.
The Humanities Center and the Filmmaking Club at Carnegie Mellon University are hosting a Short Film Festival with cash prizes up to $1000 on Sunday, April 11, 2010.
The theme of the competition is globalization and submissions are encouraged from all all over the world in the form of contemporary feature-length films and documentaries. The Student Short Film Competition is aiming to expose new artists and involve the audience in selecting the finalists. Submission are open to all undergraduate and graduate students from accredited institutions. The films may be no longer than twenty five minutes and only up to two submissions per director will be accepted. Also, there is a submission fee of twenty dollars for up to two submissions. All submissions must be received by March 10, 2010 to be considered.
The awards for the winners will be:
First Prize: $1000 Second Prize: $500 Third Prize: $250 Honorable Mention
