We need YOUR help to convince our elected officials that this program works and is important for your businesses and livelihood. 0;You need to show YOUR support! This valuable program could end and threaten the film industry in southwestern Pennsylvania. Some facts about the success of the program:
Economic impact of the film industry on southwestern Pennsylvania since the program was created in July 2007: $78 million!
1995-2006 the region averaged 2 feature films or television productions per year.
2008 there were 11 feature films or television productions in the region!
IATSE Local 489 doubled its membership since July 2007.
25,000 hotel room nights for local hotels - that’s up over 800% since 2005!
Car rentals are up over 250%
