Meet the Creators of the Independent Film 'Park'
Pittsburgh, PA - How does one go about becoming the Director of Development at Castle Rock Entertainment for five years, the Senior Vice President of Hunt/Tavel Productions, the head of development for Freestyle Pictures, and a producer for a multi-award-winning film starring William Baldwin, Ricki Lake, and Cheri Oteri? Former Mount Lebanon resident and NYU alum Dana Jackson can explain.
On September 27, 2007 Jackson, along with Park writer and director Kurt Voelker, will speak for the student-film group Pitt in Hollywood at the University of Pittsburgh
Park, which was completed in 2006, has already won a number of awards (including Best Screenplay at the 2007 Fylmz Festival as well as the Bud Abbot Award for a feature length comedy at the 2007 Garden State Film Festival), and will premiere in Pittsburgh at the South Side Works on Friday, September 28. This edgy sex comedy recounts stories of love and loss by intertwining the lives of ten different people - including a van of aspiring nudists, a philandering lawyer, his suspicious wife, and a pair of dog groomers - over the course of an hour during an afternoon in Los Angeles.
The Event is being co-sponsored by Pitt In Hollywood & Steeltown Entertainment Project.
